Watercolour Painting Break with Alison Drake
Suitable for all – from beginners starting out through to more experienced artists.
This studio-based break is under the guidance of Alison Drake, locally based self-taught professional artist and art tutor who works predominantly in watercolour; with a particular interests in floral art and landscapes. Alison will guide you through the different watercolour techniques, with a new subject to paint during each workshop. Each day, receive step by step instruction and advice, creating four paintings during the break to take home.

Watercolour Painting Break with Anne Barnham
Using Willersley Castle’s superb location as inspiration, this break will offer you the ideal environment in which to improve your watercolour painting skills, in relaxed and friendly company.
Led by award –winning artist and tutor, Anne Barnham, you will be gently guided through the artistic techniques to help you create your own water colour masterpieces during the five day course. Subjects can vary from the banks of the Derwent Valley on the Hotel’s doorstep, to the dramatic scenery of the Dark Peak; and with some painting sessions during the break taking place outdoors, it’s important to have suitable clothing. Places are limited on this course to allow for personalised tutoring, with guests finishing the week with several beautiful paintings to take home.
