Admit it, when you read the title, you definitely sang Cliff Richard’s 1963 hit of the same title in your head! Just like the familiarity of the song, summer holidays bring back memories and the excitement of your next getaway.
So what has Sidholme got on offer this summer to help you have ‘no more worries for a week or two’?
Located in Sidmouth, Devon, our ever-popular family breaks are back and being booked up fast for 2019. For those who have never been to Sidmouth, you can find a little about it here. In short, its’ a beautiful seaside town located in East Devon. The hotel itself in close proximity to the Jurassic Coastline. With an indoor swimming pool, snooker room, table tennis and spacious landscaped grounds the hotel offers something for everyone, and likewise its location.
The Sidholme summer family breaks have so much to offer, keeping children, parents and grandparents alike occupied (and out of trouble!).
With daily activities planned for both kids and adults (big kids), you can recharge your batteries for the hectic school year ahead. Activities for children include games, craft-making. Whilst everyone can enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool and the evening entertainment. As for outside the hotel, there’s the popular and incredibly adorable donkey sanctuary and the Norman Lockyer Observatory which is a centre for amateur astronomy, meteorology, radio astronomy and great fun for all ages. The World of Country Life really does have something for everyone, whatever the weather! There’s with loads to do both indoors and outdoors: crawl through the themed soft play areas, whizz round the mini electric go-kart track, get up close to the animals in the nursery and petting centre, climb aboard the pirate ship while mum and dad have a rest in the indoor beach hut and tuck into some tasty home-cooked food in the farm-themed restaurant.
Our ultimate favourite is the Alpaca Trekking with Bearhouse Alpacas. As the name suggests you can spend an hour of two trekking Alpacas around the nearby bridleways. In addition, there are goats, horses ducks and geese – in the summer months look out for the cria (baby alpacas)! For more information about holidaying at Sidmouth this summer, follow this link. P.S. Children under 10 stay for FREE and there are discounts for people up to the age of 21!
