Choose to stay on the coach all the way to the days destination or hop off and walk at a leisurely pace, meet the rest of the group in time coffee. Harlyn Bay to Padstow - A moderate walk approximately 3 miles with mostly level terraine although gets more challenging and rugged after Gun Point where the coastline wraps around to Steeper Point where you will see a collapsed sea cave. Originally known as Ar-Lyn which is Cornish for ‘Facing the Lake’ there are cellars above Harlyn Bay which were once used for processing pilchards and just offshore is Gulland Island, the most westerly and largest of the 3 rocky islands around the camel estuary. Once at Padstow you will see the charming little fishing port where boats bring in their catches and are served in many of the local restauarants, including Rick Steins.
