John Wesley the founder of the Methodist movement visited Cornwall 32 times. During this week you will visit places where John Wesley preached, and walk some of the routes he took as you follow his travels.

There will be 4 days of walking and 1 day where by coach you will visit some of the many places John Wesley preached including Gwennap Pitt an open air amphitheater where he preached 18 times to huge crowds of 20,000 people.

There is also a chance to visit the Scilly Isles during the week. This is an optional trip which can be booked at reception.

The walks are described as moderate to hard. Walking shoes/boots and waterproof clothing is essential.

Lunches are included on walking days.

A specially produced journal will be provided to record your visits.

Chris and Ann Huffadine are your hosts and walks leaders for the week. As well as planning and leading your walks they will also provide evening entertainment and devotions.

The full itinerary will be available shortly.

Walking Grade” All of the walks follow a footpath with a few slight inclines.

"What shall I bring?" we recommend you come prepared for all weathers, regardless of the month you visit. Comfortable walking boots are recommended, as is clothing for wet weather.  (Don’t worry we have a boot room where you can dry your walking gear). A Camera is a must to capture the magnificent views but please leave all of the other details to us.

(If you are a member, please bring your National Trust pass with you.)

No need to worry about planning the long journey let us do the hard work and climb aboard our executive coach, sit back, relax and enjoy the trip.

Meet new people and make new friends during your stay at Treloyhan Manor Hotel.

Included in your stay are 5 day trips.

Trelissick

Trelissick is a lovely country house and garden set on its own peninsula, with panoramic views over the Fal estuary. You can explore the winding paths through the garden, leading to exotic plants and colourful herbaceous borders.

There is renowned art gallery with a wide range of work from local Cornish artists. Crofters café offers a delicious range of light refreshments using seasonal and local produce

Tregwainton

Here in this luxuriant garden you can follow in the footsteps of the 1920s plant hunters to see plants that flowered in Britain for the first time. This warm and verdant garden has five distinct sections that are crammed with tender exotic species from around the world.

The walled gardens hold award-winning magnolias and rhododendrons. One of the walled gardens has been built to the dimensions of Noah’s Ark and has a productive Kitchen Garden providing for the Tea Room.

Winding wooded paths follow a half-mile incline to sea views across Mount's Bay, and the descent via the drive is bordered by a stream garden and open meadows.

Lanhydrock

Lanhydrock is a grand Victorian country house and estate, with the feel of a wealthy but unpretentious family home.

It illustrates Victorian life in the manner of “Downton Abbey” with kitchens, nurseries and servants' quarters, which offer a thrilling glimpse into life 'below stairs. Contrasting with the luxurious family areas, elegant dining room and spacious bedrooms which reveal the comforts of ‘upstairs’ living.

Well-tended gardens have beautiful herbaceous borders, a fabulous formal parterre and more informal higher gardens filled with camellias, magnolias and rhododendrons.

The Telegraph Museum

Discover the fascinating story of how submarine cables from a Cornish beach changed the world.

Visitors can explore the World’s biggest telegraph station from the turn of the 20th Century. Next to the beach is the Grade II Listed Cable House where the global network of cables came ashore. Plus, the secret World War Two tunnels, built to protect Britain’s vital communications hub from attack.

The Minack Theatre

This unique theatre perched on the cliffs high above the Atlantic Ocean puts on a full programme of drama, musicals and opera every summer, together with music, comedy and story-telling. Explore the theatre and find out how Rowena Cade created the terraced amphitheatre.

Heligan,

A genuine secret garden, it was lost for decades; its history consigned to overgrowth. At the end of the nineteenth century Heligan’s thousand acres were at their height of production and beauty. The outbreak of WW1, signalled the start of the estate’s demise as its workforce went off to fight in the trenches; many sadly never to return.

In 1990 the derelict gardens were discovered by Tim Smit and John Willis (Tremayne descendant). There was a programme of careful unearthing of the structure and each year the garden grows.

Mevagissey

Once the centre of Cornwall’s pilchard fishery and still boasts a working harbour with a few dozen small fishing boats. It has a tradition of boat building dating back to 1745. Fishing trips can be taken from the harbour and there is a ferry to the nearby port of Fowey.
