Trelissick

Trelissick is a lovely country house and garden set on its own peninsula, with panoramic views over the Fal estuary. You can explore the winding paths through the garden, leading to exotic plants and colourful herbaceous borders.

There is renowned art gallery with a wide range of work from local Cornish artists. Crofters café offers a delicious range of light refreshments using seasonal and local produce

Tregwainton

Here in this luxuriant garden you can follow in the footsteps of the 1920s plant hunters to see plants that flowered in Britain for the first time. This warm and verdant garden has five distinct sections that are crammed with tender exotic species from around the world.

The walled gardens hold award-winning magnolias and rhododendrons. One of the walled gardens has been built to the dimensions of Noah’s Ark and has a productive Kitchen Garden providing for the Tea Room.

Winding wooded paths follow a half-mile incline to sea views across Mount's Bay, and the descent via the drive is bordered by a stream garden and open meadows.

Lanhydrock

Lanhydrock is a grand Victorian country house and estate, with the feel of a wealthy but unpretentious family home.

It illustrates Victorian life in the manner of “Downton Abbey” with kitchens, nurseries and servants' quarters, which offer a thrilling glimpse into life 'below stairs. Contrasting with the luxurious family areas, elegant dining room and spacious bedrooms which reveal the comforts of ‘upstairs’ living.

Well-tended gardens have beautiful herbaceous borders, a fabulous formal parterre and more informal higher gardens filled with camellias, magnolias and rhododendrons.

The Telegraph Museum

Discover the fascinating story of how submarine cables from a Cornish beach changed the world.

Visitors can explore the World’s biggest telegraph station from the turn of the 20th Century. Next to the beach is the Grade II Listed Cable House where the global network of cables came ashore. Plus, the secret World War Two tunnels, built to protect Britain’s vital communications hub from attack.

The Minack Theatre

This unique theatre perched on the cliffs high above the Atlantic Ocean puts on a full programme of drama, musicals and opera every summer, together with music, comedy and story-telling. Explore the theatre and find out how Rowena Cade created the terraced amphitheatre.
